1GLOBAL Selects Nokia to Upgrade Core Network and Expand into New Markets

1GLOBAL, a global mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), has partnered with Nokia to deploy its core and security solutions across multiple markets. The deal includes Nokia Evolved Packet Core (EPC), Nokia IMS Voice Core, and Nokia NetGuard security solutions, replacing competitor equipment. 1GLOBAL will use these technologies to enhance operations in key markets like the UK and US while supporting expansion into Brazil and other new regions.

The deployment will integrate Nokia EPC in eight countries, including Australia, the UK, and the US, improving data traffic management and connectivity. Nokia IMS Voice Core, a cloud-native platform, will be introduced in three markets, including the Netherlands, enabling faster provisioning of voice, video, and messaging services. 1GLOBAL will also implement Nokia’s NetGuard Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution to enhance security against cyber threats, offering automated network monitoring and threat mitigation.
