ADC announced a series of enhancements that enable its Cuda 12000 Next-Generation CMTS to add or change modules and perform software upgrades without the need for system downtime. The hitless software upgrade capability is expected to be especially important to MSOs that need to compete with traditional telephone companies to win new voice customers. In addition, the Cuda 12000 now supports up to 3,000 cable modems per HFC interface module.
