Alcatel-Lucent has made an equity investment in SEQUANS Communications, a developer of fixed and mobile WiMAX semiconductor solutions.
SEQUANS offers both base station and subscriber station system-on-chips (SoCs) for both fixed and mobile WiMAX.
The investment is an extension of Sequans’ recent round of funding announced in July 2006. Financial terms were not disclosed.
