Brazil Auctions 450 MHz and 2.5 GHz Spectrum

Brazil’s National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) attracted first round auction bids valued at US$2.72 billion from six groups for 2.5 GHz frequency bands (intended for 4G) and 450 MHz (dedicated to improving coverage in rural areas).

Auction participants include Light / Americel, Tim / Intelig Hi, Live, Sunrise and Sky presented the proposed price and identity documents and licenses.
