China Mobile Vice Chairman Removed for Financial Irregularities

China Mobile Communications (CMC) announced that due to alleged serious financial irregularities, Mr. Zhang Chunjiang’s position as positions as Secretary of the CPC Committee and Vice President of CMCC have been removed. The company’s Board of Directors will consider removing him from his positions as Vice Chairman and executive director of the company as well. The announcement followed confirmation that the authorities are conduction an investigation of Zhang Chunjiang.
