Cisco to Acquire Latigent for Web 2.0-based Contact Center

Cisco agreed to acquire Latigent, a provider of web-based business intelligence and analytics reporting for contact centers, for an undisclosed sum.

Latigent’s product line consists of two main products: BlueVue is a Web-based business intelligence and analytics tool, and Archiver is an engine for integrating data from the entire enterprise into a consolidated and normalized repository. The products are designed to leverage Web 2.0 principles.

Cisco said Latigent’s products will complement and enhance its Unified Customer Contact solutions.

Latigent was co-founded in 2002 by CEO Chris Crosby and CTO Jason Kolb, who will both join Cisco after the close of the acquisition. The company is based in Chicago.
