Colt Expands NaaS With On Demand Diversity, Dedicated Cloud Ports

Colt Technology Services has introduced three new features to its On Demand Network as a Service (NaaS) platform aimed at boosting cloud service flexibility, improving network resilience, and expanding offnet connectivity options. The latest upgrades—On Demand Diversity, Dedicated Cloud Ports, and Multi-Vendor Offnet—extend Colt’s vision of bringing cloud-style consumption models to enterprise networking. These new features are now live and available through Colt’s NaaS portal or API, supporting both hourly and subscription-based billing models.

On Demand Diversity allows enterprises to self-select diverse paths for Ethernet, Cloud, and Internet services, improving compliance, performance, and disaster recovery. Dedicated Cloud Ports give businesses high-capacity, private links to major cloud providers like AWS, Microsoft, and Google, enhancing scalability and security beyond the shared, hosted cloud access previously available. With Multi-Vendor Offnet, Colt enables streamlined, SLA-backed connectivity to millions of offnet locations via hundreds of carrier partners worldwide. The Colt NaaS platform now spans 32,000 Colt-connected buildings, 275 cloud PoPs, and over 130,000 fibre-served sites.

“Colt has brought the ‘cloud consumption model’ to the networking world, enabling customers to break away from the slow, static world of traditional networking,” said Peter Coppens, VP Infrastructure and Connectivity Solutions, Colt Technology Services. “We’ll continue to expand our fantastic NaaS platform and we’ll develop exciting new features to make life easier for our customers.”
