Credo Introduces 800G AECs with 7m Length

Credo Technology Group has launched its new 800G HiWire ZeroFlap (ZF) Active Electrical Cables (AECs) designed for AI backend networks. These advanced AECs provide enhanced reach, zero soft link flaps, and support for lossless RDMA (Remote Direct Memory Access) networks that power AI clusters. With lengths up to 7 meters (22.97 feet), the cables are optimized for full host-to-switch connectivity in GPU-based supercomputing environments, benefiting from liquid cooling technology.

The 800G HiWire ZF AECs build on Credo’s successful HiWire AEC family, which has been widely adopted by hyperscalers. The new ZF series offers zero soft link flaps, addressing a critical need for stable and reliable connectivity in AI cluster deployments. The cables also deliver significant power and cost savings, offering up to 14W per link power reduction and $1,000 per GPU in savings when compared to legacy optical solutions.

The HiWire ZF family includes four key product offerings:

• 800G OSFP to OSFP

• 800G OSFP to OSFP-RHS

• 800G OSFP to 2*OSFP-RHS

• 800G OSFP to 2*Q112
