Ericsson and Global Telecom Giants Launch Aduna for APIs

Aduna is the new name of the joint venture formed by Ericsson and major telecom operators to develop APIs. Anthony Bartolo has been named as Aduna’s Chief Executive Officer. Bartolo, a seasoned technology executive with over 30 years of experience in scaling global businesses, will lead the initiative aimed at accelerating the global adoption and innovation of standardized network APIs. Previously the COO at Vonage and a leader at Bandwidth and Avaya, Bartolo has a strong track record of driving growth and SaaS transformations, positioning him to spearhead Aduna’s global strategy effectively.

Aduna aims to simplify how developers access advanced network capabilities by offering a unified platform for common network APIs, enabling innovation across multiple industries. The venture brings together telecom giants including AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, Verizon, Orange, and others, to provide developers seamless access to programmable network functions based on industry-wide CAMARA APIs. Aduna’s mission is to empower developers to create next-generation applications with consistent performance across global networks.
