Ericsson has appointed Nishant Grover as President of Ericsson Canada, effective immediately. He replaces Jeanette Irekvist, who led the company’s Canadian division since 2020 and will return to Sweden for a new role within the organization. Grover steps into the role with nearly two decades of Ericsson experience, including senior leadership positions in both customer engagement and product sales.
Most recently, Grover led Network Product Sales for Ericsson’s AT&T Customer Unit, driving strategic growth initiatives in the U.S. His experience spans technical, business, and operational domains, with an academic background that includes a B.Tech in Computer Science, an MBA from the Institute of Management Technology in India, and executive leadership training from the London Business School.
Ericsson Canada has operated for more than 70 years and plays a central role in the company’s global innovation strategy, with R&D hubs in Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto. The company invests approximately $345 million annually in Canadian R&D, contributing to areas such as 5G, AI, and quantum research. Ericsson Canada also collaborates with Environment and Climate Change Canada and major universities on sustainability research and advanced communications.
