Huawei Technologies has delivered to Telefónica de España the first 40G nodes for its optical transmission network. Huawei’s solution uses ROADM technology, which guarantees flexible provisioning, and is ready to activate advanced network Control and Management Planes based on GMPLS. Financial terms were not disclosed.
