Lightera Rolls Out 864-Fiber Microcable

Lightera introduced two key innovations at Fiber Connect 2025 aimed at expanding fiber capacity in dense metro networks and simplifying in-home fiber deployment. The announcements include the RollR® 200 864 Fiber Rollable Ribbon Microcable for outside plant applications and the InvisiLight™ Home Fiber Kit for self-installed, ultra-discreet residential fiber extension.

The RollR 200 864 microcable features a compact 11.4mm diameter, optimized for 14mm inner diameter (ID) microducts. With rollable ribbon construction, it enables fast, mass fusion splicing for efficient high-density network builds. Designed for air-blown installation, the cable’s rifled outer jacket minimizes friction, maximizing installation lengths. It delivers 864 fibers in a space-saving design suitable for urban environments and constrained duct systems.

Complementing the outside plant solution, Lightera’s new InvisiLight Home Fiber Kit empowers consumers and service providers to discreetly extend fiber connections throughout the home. The kit uses a 600-micron EZ-Bend® optical fiber with a 2.5mm bend radius for tight routing along baseboards and moldings. It ships with everything needed for installation—including a pre-terminated fiber spool, adhesive, ONT module, and media converters—enabling plug-and-play deployment without visible cabling or professional installers.

“By delivering 864 fibers in an ultra-compact 11.4mm design, we’re enabling our customers to increase duct efficiency, reduce installation complexity, and future-ready their infrastructure for the data-driven world ahead,” said Michel Gomez, Outside Plant Cable Product Manager at Lightera. Michael Perry, Senior Market Development Manager, added, “The InvisiLight Home Fiber Kit allows users to install fiber themselves, bringing high-speed, low-latency connections to any room without the need for professional installers or visible cables.”
