Mignon Clyburn Takes Over as Acting Chairwoman of FCC

Mignon Clyburn officially took over as Acting  Chairwoman of the Federal Communications Commission.  She is the first woman to hold the chair at the FCC.

Clyburn has served on the FCC since July 2009.  She previously was a member of South Carolina’s Public Service Commission, which regulates the state’s investor owned public utilities, including providers of telecommunications services.
