Mindspeed Readies 10G-EPON Burst-Mode Receiver Chipset

Mindspeed Technologies is ready to demonstrate a 10 Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Network (10G-EPON) burst-mode receiver chipset — the first such device in the industry, according to the company.

Mindspeed’s burst-mode receiver chipset includes its recently announced M02138 10G burst mode dual-rate transimpedance amplifier (TIA) and the company’s companion M02142 11.3 Gbps limiting amplifier. Together, the two devices provide a complete, cost-effective solution for 10G-EPON Optical Line Terminals (OLTs), while maintaining backward compatibility with existing GEPON designs.http://www.mindspeed.com
