NTT DATA has entered a global partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate the deployment of industry-specific agentic AI and cloud modernization solutions for enterprise customers. The collaboration will combine NTT DATA’s expertise in AI, cloud-native modernization, and data engineering with Google Cloud’s advanced analytics, AI, and cloud infrastructure to deliver tailored, scalable offerings. As part of the initiative, NTT DATA is establishing a dedicated Google Cloud Business Group with thousands of certified engineers, aiming for 5,000 Google Cloud certifications, and making significant co-investments in global go-to-market campaigns.
The joint effort will focus on several priority areas: building AI-driven, industry-specific solutions using Google Agentspace, Gemini models, secure data clean rooms, and modernized data platforms; advancing AI-enabled cloud modernization through Google Distributed Cloud; enhancing application and security modernization including mainframe and SAP migration; and enabling sovereign cloud deployments with both connected and air-gapped options to meet strict data residency requirements. NTT DATA will also offer a Google Distributed Cloud sandbox for rapid prototyping and developer training.
Industries targeted include banking, insurance, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, life sciences, and the public sector. Use cases span regulatory compliance automation in financial services, AI-powered virtual travel concierges for hospitality, and large-scale e-commerce platform modernization such as Carrefour’s migration of SAP HANA and consolidation of 100 legacy applications. This partnership builds on a 2024 co-innovation agreement in APAC and follows NTT DATA’s acquisition of Niveus Solutions, a recognized Google Cloud partner in multiple regions.

🌐 Why it Matters
Agentic AI adoption is entering a critical scale-up phase, and partnerships like this one address enterprise needs for both specialized AI applications and modernized, compliant infrastructure. By aligning AI innovation with sovereign cloud capabilities, NTT DATA and Google Cloud are positioning to capture demand from heavily regulated industries while accelerating time-to-market for emerging AI-driven services.
In 2025, NTT DATA advanced its global growth strategy through a series of high-profile initiatives. The company completed the acquisition of Niveus Solutions, strengthening its Google Cloud delivery capabilities across India, APAC, and Latin America. It expanded its Smart AI Agent Ecosystem with new sector-specific frameworks and launched Takumi, a generative AI methodology for rapid prototyping and enterprise-scale deployment. NTT DATA also secured multiple industry recognitions, including three Google Cloud Partner of the Year awards, and deepened its role in digital infrastructure by adding new sovereign cloud capabilities and expanding its AI-ready data center footprint in strategic markets.
