SiTime Launches Mobile Clock Generator with MEMS Precision

SiTime has unveiled its first mobile clock generator with an integrated MEMS resonator, the Symphonic SiT30100, designed to provide precise and resilient timing signals for mobile and IoT applications. Targeted at 5G and GNSS chipsets used in smartphones, laptops, tablets, and asset trackers, the SiT30100 consolidates the functionality of up to four discrete timing devices into a compact 2.22 mm² footprint. SiTime estimates this product will open access to a $2 billion served addressable market (SAM) over the next five years.

The SiT30100 integrates a MEMS resonator and high-precision temperature sensor, enabling system-level compensation that enhances frequency stability down to ±0.5 ppm—even under airflow and thermal shock conditions. Its architecture supports clock outputs of 76.8 MHz, 38.4 MHz, or 19.2 MHz for baseband, RF, and GNSS subsystems, and includes multiple output enable pins to optimize system power and minimize electromagnetic interference. The device’s -30°C to +90°C operating range ensures robust performance in diverse environmental conditions.

With its compact design, power-efficient architecture, and high stability, the SiT30100 addresses the growing timing requirements of next-generation mobile devices. SiTime’s entry into the mobile timing market reinforces its position as a leader in precision MEMS-based timing solutions.

“Timing devices must withstand thermal and mechanical stressors as processing and connectivity speeds increase,” said Rajesh Vashist, CEO and chairman of SiTime. “Our newest mobile clock generator delivers the precision timing required for advanced connectivity of next-generation mobile devices.”
