T-Mobile Debuts 5G SASE with Palo Alto Networks

T-Mobile and Palo Alto Networks introduced a joint solution—T-Mobile SASE, with Palo Alto Networks—that combines T-Mobile’s nationwide 5G Advanced network with Palo Alto Networks’ Prisma SASE 5G platform. The new service aims to deliver secure, high-performance connectivity tailored for enterprises and government agencies facing the growing complexity of cyber threats and mobile workforces.

The managed service integrates Palo Alto Networks’ zero-trust cloud-native security architecture directly into T-Mobile’s 5G Standalone (SA) infrastructure. This includes enhanced encryption and TLS protection for subscriber identities and network control/user data planes. Additionally, it leverages T-Mobile’s T-SIMsecure for SIM-based device authentication and the T-Mobile Security Slice, which isolates traffic and boosts performance—surpassing that of LTE, Wi-Fi, and 5G non-standalone networks.

T-Mobile SASE will be commercially available this summer, with the announcement coming days ahead of T-Mobile’s Q3 FY25 earnings release on May 20. The offering provides simplified deployment without the need for additional clients or hardware, while ensuring continuous authorization across all devices, including IoT and 5G routers.

“At T-Mobile for Business, we’re redefining secure connectivity for the 5G era with mobility-driven solutions designed to scale effortlessly,” said Mishka Dehghan, SVP of Strategy, Product & Solutions Engineering at T-Mobile Business Group.
