Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC) awarded six WiMAX licenses in the 2.5 ~ 2.69 frequency range, however, Chunghwa Telecom — the island’s incumbent operator — was not among the winning bidders.
Companies being awarded WiMAX licenses include Far EasTone Telecommunications, First International Telecom, Tecom-VIBO, Global On, Vastar Cable and Tatung. http://www.ncc.gov.tw/
