TECfusions has signed a binding agreement with Chile’s Baeza Group to develop a high-density, AI-ready data center campus in Puente Alto, near Santiago. The partnership secures exclusive development rights to a 40-acre site, launching with 10 MW of immediately available capacity and scalable to 100 MW. The announcement marks TECfusions’ first major entry into the Latin American market and is framed as a cornerstone of its global expansion strategy.
The facility will feature a sustainable infrastructure approach, including a zero-water-use design and natural gas-powered systems. An additional 10 MW of capacity is accessible from the local grid, with plans to bring the first phase online within a year of permitting and groundbreaking. As demand for AI and cloud workloads grows across Latin America, TECfusions is positioning the site as the largest data center campus planned for the Santiago metro area.
Chile’s rapidly growing digital economy, backed by over $4 billion in planned investments and ambitious green energy goals, has made it an emerging hotspot for hyperscaler infrastructure. TECfusions says the agreement with Baeza Group ensures both rapid market entry and responsible land stewardship, while offering shared economic value to the local community.
