Telefônica Brasil reported strong 3Q24 results, posting 7.1% year-over-year growth in net operating revenue, reaching R$14,039 million. Mobile services led this growth with an 8.8% increase, supported by a robust 10.4% rise in postpaid revenue and a 7.6% boost in the customer base. Fixed revenues also improved, driven by a 14% year-over-year increase in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) services and a 6.5% increase in corporate data, ICT, and digital services.
EBITDA rose by 7.4% year-over-year, totaling R$5,950 million, with a margin of 42.4%, reflecting both growth in mobile revenue and cost management efforts. Telefônica Brasil continues to expand its 5G network, now covering 394 cities, including all with populations above 200,000, representing 57% of Brazil’s population. Capex excluding IFRS 16 reached R$2,495 million in 3Q24, a 5% year-over-year decrease, focusing primarily on enhancing mobile and 5G coverage.
Operating cash flow surged 12% year-over-year in the first nine months of 2024 to R$9,972 million, with net income up 13.3% to R$1,667 million. Telefônica Brasil also committed to a shareholder remuneration plan, distributing R$4,790 million in 2024 and pledging 100% net income distribution through 2026.
