Twilio Raises $17 Million for Cloud Communication APIs

Twilio, a start-up based in San Francisco, has raised $17 million in series C funding for its APIs that help application developers add voice and SMS capabilities. Twilio is a web-service API that uses XML to integrate voice and SMS into applications. Investors include Bessemer Venture Partners and Union Square Ventures.
