Vertical Systems Group’s research shows that six companies ranked on the U.S. Carrier Ethernet LEADERBOARD for mid-2024 (in order of retail port share as of June 30, 2024): AT&T, Lumen, Spectrum Enterprise, Verizon, Comcast Business, and Cox Business. To make the LEADERBOARD, providers need at least 4% of the U.S. retail Ethernet services market.
The Challenge Tier grew to seven providers in mid-2024 with the addition of Granite, which moved up from the Market Player tier. The companies in the Challenge Tier (in alphabetical order) are: Altice USA (including Lightpath), Cogent, Frontier, Granite, GTT, Windstream, and Zayo. The Challenge Tier consists of providers with between 1% and 4% of the market.
