Arista Networks has reported a record-breaking year, with revenues reaching $7 billion in 2024, marking a 19.5% increase from the previous year. The company continues to solidify its leadership in AI-driven networking and cloud solutions, showcasing strong growth in data center, campus, and routing environments. CEO Jayshree Ullal highlighted the company’s execution in balancing growth and profitability, with gross margins exceeding 64%. Arista’s GAAP net income rose to $2.852 billion, a substantial increase from $2.087 billion in 2023, demonstrating the company’s ability to scale efficiently while expanding its AI and enterprise-focused solutions.

In the fourth quarter of 2024, Arista posted $1.93 billion in revenue, a 25.3% year-over-year increase. GAAP net income for the quarter stood at $801 million, or $0.62 per diluted share, compared to $613.6 million in Q4 2023. The company’s financial strength enabled a four-for-one stock split and continued investment in AI networking, Wi-Fi 7, and zero-trust security solutions. CFO Chantelle Breithaupt emphasized Arista’s robust operating cash flow, which grew over 95% year-over-year, allowing the company to invest in long-term initiatives while navigating macroeconomic challenges.

Key Business Highlights:

• AI Networking Expansion: Arista unveiled its Etherlink AI platforms, optimizing large-scale AI clusters with NVIDIA collaboration.

• Cloud and Security Innovations: Launched CloudVision Universal Network Observability (CV UNO) and expanded Multi-Domain Segmentation (MSS) for zero-trust security.

• Major Customer Wins: Meta deployed Arista’s 7700R4 Distributed Etherlink Switch for AI scaling, and Alabama Fiber Network selected Arista for its rural broadband expansion.

• Strong Market Position: Celebrated 20 years of operations and 10 years since its IPO, surpassing 100 million ports deployed globally.

Network Expansion and Future Outlook

Arista continues to enhance its networking footprint, particularly in AI and high-performance computing. The company launched Wi-Fi 7 access points designed for high-bandwidth applications, including AR/VR and IoT, and introduced modern campus networking innovations like Switch Aggregation Group (SWAG) and Leaf Spine Stack (LSS) management. Additionally, Arista strengthened its commitment to large-scale routing solutions with deployments in middle-mile infrastructure projects such as the Alabama Fiber Network.

Looking ahead, Arista forecasts Q1 2025 revenue between $1.93 billion and $1.97 billion, with a non-GAAP gross margin of approximately 63%. The company remains focused on expanding its AI networking capabilities and maintaining its leadership in high-performance cloud and data center solutions.
