Nokia has been selected by CoreSite, an American Tower company, to provide a high-performance IP routing solution across 30 data centers in 11 major U.S. markets. This strategic deployment will support the explosive growth in AI workloads and mission-critical enterprise applications by enhancing edge and core network performance. The initiative is aimed at bolstering CoreSite’s infrastructure to meet rising demands for low-latency, high-throughput, and energy-efficient networking services across nearly 40,000 customer interconnections.
The deployment includes Nokia’s 7250 Interconnect Router (IXR-s) and 7750 Service Router (SR), powered by its high-performance FP5 silicon. These platforms deliver carrier-grade reliability, efficient power and cooling, and the scalability required for AI and high-performance computing (HPC) environments. The companies said seamless integration with CoreSite’s existing infrastructure via Nokia’s Service Router Operating System (SR OS) ensures fast rollout and reduced operational complexity.
“By deploying Nokia’s advanced IP routing portfolio, we ensure our network edge infrastructure stays ahead of market demands,” said Chris Malayter, VP of Network and Interconnection at CoreSite.
