MEF and Console Connect have released a new open source tool aimed at streamlining interoperability between proprietary APIs and MEF’s standardized Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) Business APIs. The new MEF LSO Adaptor Tool is now publicly available on GitHub and the MEF LSO Marketplace, marking a key milestone in advancing network automation and standardization efforts across the telecom industry.
Developed in collaboration with Console Connect, PCCW Global’s intelligent networking platform, the LSO Adaptor Tool facilitates API translation and mapping between non-standard systems and MEF’s LSO framework. The tool allows service providers and technology partners to integrate with LSO-compliant platforms without having to re-engineer legacy operational interfaces. This plug-and-play approach significantly reduces integration effort while boosting scalability and cross-platform interoperability.
The launch aligns with MEF’s broader vision to accelerate the adoption of standardized APIs and promote dynamic, software-driven service automation. “The MEF LSO API Adaptor Tool marks an important step toward accelerating the adoption of standardized APIs for global interoperability,” said Pascal Menezes, CTO, MEF. Console Connect CTO Paul Gampe added, “API standardization is fundamental to unlocking the full potential of automated, on-demand services across the telecom ecosystem.”
