Cegeka has deployed Adtran’s FSP 3000 open optical transport solution to upgrade its data center interconnect (DCI) infrastructure across Belgium and the Netherlands. The new network links Cegeka’s existing facilities to a new Brussels data center, delivering secure, high-capacity connectivity with support for a wide range of SAN and DCI protocols. Designed for ultra-low latency and high resilience, the solution enables seamless real-time replication between sites and improves business continuity for mission-critical applications.
Developed in partnership with Arcadiz, the solution incorporates Adtran’s ConnectGuard™ encryption, featuring post-quantum cryptographic safeguards to meet stringent security requirements. The deployment also includes Adtran’s ALM platform for continuous physical fiber monitoring, which distinguishes between fiber and equipment issues, reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency. Arcadiz’s spectrum-as-a-service model over diverse and short routes further enhances the flexibility and cost-effectiveness of the network.
Built on a foundation of open, scalable technology, the infrastructure supports Ethernet and Fibre Channel services at various speeds while optimizing operational agility. By leveraging pre-existing routes and enhancing fiber visibility, Cegeka aims to ensure five-nines availability and future-ready services for enterprise clients navigating digital transformation.
• Cegeka expands data center interconnect capacity with Adtran’s FSP 3000
• DCI upgrade connects new Brussels facility with low-latency, encrypted links
• Solution integrates ConnectGuard™ optical-layer encryption and post-quantum security
• Real-time fiber monitoring via ALM platform boosts reliability and troubleshooting
• Arcadiz delivers spectrum-as-a-service over three diverse routes, optimizing cost and performance
“This upgrade enhances our clients’ long-term cyber resilience and enables us to deliver exceptional service, drive growth and swiftly adapt to their evolving needs,” said Luc Greefs, VP of global operations and CTO of infrastructure services at Cegeka.
