Arago announced $26 million in seed funding to develop a photonic processor that uses light for AI computations. The Paris-based startup emerges from stealth mode with this oversubscribed round, targeting energy challenges in data centers. Founders Nicolas Muller, Eliott Sarrey and Ambroise Müller lead the company, which operates teams in France, Israel and North America.

Investors co-lead the round through Earlybird Venture Capital, Protagonist and Visionaries Tomorrow, while GenerativeIQ, C4 Ventures and Acequia Capital join in. Notable angels include Bertrand Serlet from Apple, Christophe Frey from Arm, Olivier Pomel from Datadog, Thomas Wolf from Hugging Face and Jack Abraham from Exowatt.
