AVAIO Digital Targets $6B AI-Ready Campus in Mississippi

AVAIO Digital announced plans to build a $6 billion AI-focused data center campus in Brandon, Mississippi, marking one of the state’s largest tech infrastructure investments to date. Spanning 175 acres, the “AVAIO Digital Taurus” campus will support hyperscale, cloud, and AI workloads with over 600,000 square feet of data center buildings and 116MW of power in its first phase, slated to go online in the first half of 2027.

The site will integrate advanced sustainability features, including water-efficient cooling, rooftop solar, and rainwater recapture systems. Located near major fiber routes, the facility will offer low-latency connectivity to Dallas and Atlanta. Entergy Mississippi will supply clean, reliable power, while local and state agencies—including the Mississippi Development Authority and the City of Brandon—are backing the project with infrastructure upgrades, tax incentives, and development grants.

“This $6 billion investment by AVAIO Digital Partners marks a monumental day for the city of Brandon,” said Mayor Butch Lee. “This development will bring high-quality jobs, attract and retain top talent and position Brandon at the forefront of a growing, innovation-driven industry.”

“The Greater Jackson area is poised to become a new hub for cloud computing and AI development,” said AVAIO CEO Mark McComiskey. “We are delighted to partner with the City of Brandon to make a significant investment in expanding the region’s digital and energy infrastructure.”
