Sprint Nextel has priced an underwritten public offering of $1.5 billion aggregate principal amount of 7.000% notes due 2020. The sale of the notes is expected to close on August 14, 2012. The company said the proceeds would be used for general corporate purposes, which may include, among other things, redemptions or service requirements of outstanding debt, network expansion and modernization and potential funding of Clearwire. http://www.sprint.com 06-Aug-12
