YouSendIt, a start-up based in Campbell, California, has raised a $15 million Series D round of venture capital for its secure content delivery service. 
YouSendIt allows users to transfer files too large to send via e-mail, eliminating the need for expensive overnight couriers and cumbersome FTP sites. Users can access the service through the YouSendIt Web site, a desktop application called YouSendIt Express or through a variety of plug-ins that seamlessly integrate with popular business applications like Microsoft Office or Adobe Photoshop. The company says it serves more than 13 million registered users and over 210,000 subscribers, and it delivers 15 million files a month.
The funding came new investor Adams Street Partners and existing investors Emergence Capital, Sigma Partners and Alloy Ventures.
