Orange Business Services Supplies VSAT for Bourbon Vessels

Bourbon, a French marine services group, has chosen Orange Business Services for the modernization of the communications system for its fleet of 150 vessels. With this contract, Orange Business Services is responsible for integrating and operating a VSAT type satellite communication system specially developed for marine communications. This system will connect the vessels to the Bourbon network via the IP VPN. The goal is to implement new communication services and new business applications for its entire fleet. This new solution’s deployment of 45 vessels and four ground bases has already helped cut communication costs for Bourbon by a factor of five.
