Yunnan Telecom Co. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of China Telecom Corporation Ltd. in Yunnan Province, has chosen Redback’s SmartEdge Service Gateway to expand their network to deliver broadband Internet access, leased-line connectivity and secure VPN services for its rapidly growing subscriber base.
Yunnan Telecom is deploying a Smart Broadband Network to enable advanced IP and dedicated services for an increasing number of businesses and residential users in South China. Financial terms were not disclosed.
