QUALCOMM reported quarterly revenues of $1.74 billion, up 25 percent year-over-year and 12 percent sequentially, for its first quarter of fiscal 2006. Net income was $620 million, up 21 percent year-over-year and 15 percent sequentially.
“In emerging wireless markets like China and India, demand for low-end CDMA phones is increasing; in more established markets like the United States, South Korea, Japan and Europe, subscribers continue to migrate and upgrade to feature rich 3G devices and services,” said Dr. Paul E.
