Japan's UCOM Leverages Ikanos 100 Mbps Chipset

UCOM, a subsidiary of Japan’s USEN Group, will deploy 100 Mbps services based on Ikanos Communications’ Fx 100100 chipsets. The Ikanos’ symmetrical 100 Mbps chipset is designed for FTTx and multi-dwelling units (MDU) applications. Versions are available for use in Optical Network Units (ONUs), Optical Line Terminals (OLTs), Subscriber Located Equipment (SLE) and Optical Network Terminals (ONTs).
