BellSouth Selects SupportSoft to Automate Next Gen Services

BellSouth has entered into an agreement with SupportSoft for the development of software tools to help automate the activation and ongoing support for BellSouth’s next generation of digital product offerings, including wireless and wireline services, VoIP and bandwidth on demand. This new agreement expands the current relationship between SupportSoft and BellSouth.

Currently, SupportSoft’s Service Automation Suite is being used to provide self-service and assisted technical support for retail BellSouth FastAccess DSL subscribers. In addition to enabling BellSouth to more effectively service and support subscribers, SupportSoft products will be used for professional installation of DSL-based services and to facilitate set-up and configuration of file and print sharing.

Under this new agreement, SupportSoft will be develop software that can facilitate adoption of BellSouth’s next generation of value-added services. Financial terms were not disclosed. http://www.support.com/http://www.bellsouth.com

  • BellSouth has also deployed the SupportSoft Knowledge Center Suite, enabling its customer service representatives to streamline resolution of billing issues for more than one million BellSouth broadband subscribers. The SupportSoft Knowledge Center Suite leverages patented personalization technology to automatically present only the most relevant answers to questions based on the customer’s account type.
