SMC Launches Home 802.11a/g Multimedia Receiver / Server

SMC Networks launched its new EZ-Stream Universal Wireless Multimedia Receiver, a high-end networked entertainment server that streams, plays and shares audio (including Internet radio), pictures and video inside a home using 802.11a/g. The appliance delivers media content to entertainment devices, such as televisions and stereo receivers, via standard A/V connectors. The product will be available in retail stores beginning this month. Pricing was not disclosed.
