Eclipse Selects Redback SMS for DSL Launch in the UK

Eclipse, one of the UK’s broadband ISPs, has selected the Redback SMS 10000 platform of subscriber management systems to launch its new national DSL service. Eclipse is using BT’s wholesale DSL service. The SMS platform will terminate, authenticate and provision DSL subscriber traffic delivered from BT’s broadband network. Eclipse plans to leverage the extensive and unique service insertion capabilities of the SMS platform to deliver a suite of advanced IP services as the service rolls out. Financial terms were not disclosed.
