#Private5G: Driven by Neutral Host and Smart Facilities

There are two major use cases for Private Wireless today. Glenn Laxdal, President and CEO from Airspan Networks, explains:

– The growth of private wireless networks is predictable and increasing, with two main categories: In-building coverage for neutral host or DAS replacement, and private wireless for mission-critical applications like video surveillance and smart factories.
– The neutral host market is likely to take off first, with significant deployments of In-building coverage using 4G and 5G small cells for cost-effective and faster deployment.
– There is broad-based interest from various industries such as hospitality and education, looking for high-quality coverage for smartphones on campus. Airspan offers a solution that can be deployed quickly at a low cost, resembling Wi-Fi access points and integrated into operator cores for better in-building coverage.
