Hitachi Vantara and Broadcom have unveiled a new private and hybrid cloud solution, co-engineered to enhance performance, scalability, and sustainability. The solution integrates Hitachi Vantara’s Unified Compute Platform (UCP) RS with VMware Cloud Foundation, addressing the growing demands of data proliferation and AI workloads. This collaboration aims to modernize enterprise infrastructure, streamline operations, and reduce environmental impact through advanced automation and software-defined services.

The announcement comes as organizations face increasing complexities in managing hybrid and multi-cloud environments. With cloud infrastructure spending on the rise, driven by the surge in generative AI, the new solution offers a flexible and sustainable approach to modernizing data management and operations. The partnership highlights a commitment to innovation and sustainability, making it a critical tool for businesses navigating the evolving technological landscape.

• Integration of Hitachi UCP RS with VMware Cloud Foundation for private and hybrid cloud solutions.

• Enhanced performance, scalability, and sustainability with advanced automation.

• Supports traditional VMs, cloud-native containers, and private AI workloads.

• Reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 96% and data center storage footprint by up to 35%.

• Simplified management with unified tools and pay-per-use consumption model.

“Our enduring collaboration with Broadcom exemplifies our dedication to providing cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers while contributing to a greener planet,” said Octavian Tanase, chief product officer, Hitachi Vantara.
