AboveNet Communications UK announced its expansion of Metro-Wave, a service offering AboveNet customers private wavelengths between strategically placed hubs in and around London. The service uses Nortel’s Optical Metro 5000 series equipment, and this network expansion involves a new hub in Slough. Having recently expanded to Park Royal, AboveNet’s Metro-Wave footprint will now span from the Docklands in the east through the City, out to Heathrow and Slough in the west.
AboveNet has been working with Nortel and the Optical Metro 5000 platform for over seven years.
