Adtran has expanded its UK operations with the opening of a 20,000-square-foot distribution center in York, designed to accelerate the deployment of its fiber infrastructure solutions. The new facility will support various services, including testing, production, and customization of Adtran’s optical transport, Carrier Ethernet, and access equipment. By improving its logistics capabilities, Adtran aims to enhance delivery speed and service quality for its customers, ensuring the rapid deployment of high-performance broadband technology across both urban and rural areas in the UK.

Sustainability is a key focus of Adtran’s new Sovereign House facility, which earned an “excellent” rating from the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) for its environmental performance. The facility will handle a wide range of operations, such as managing inbound and outbound shipments, returns, and rapid deployment of Adtran’s OLTs.

• New 20,000-square-foot distribution center in York supports fiber infrastructure deployment.

• Facility focuses on testing, production, and customization of optical, Ethernet, and access solutions.

• Center achieves “excellent” BREEAM rating for environmental sustainability.

• Supports rapid deployment of OLTs for multigigabit fiber broadband, even in underserved areas.

“This new facility builds on our strong foundation, enabling faster, more cost-effective, and more sustainable deployments to ensure high-speed broadband reaches both major cities and remote rural areas across the UK,” said Paulus Bucher, Senior VP of Global Operations at Adtran.
