D & P Communications has expanded its multigigabit broadband services across southern Michigan by deploying Adtran’s scalable fiber access solution. The regional service provider is using Adtran’s open and intelligent fiber platform with Combo PON technology, enabling seamless upgrades to 10Gbit/s XGS-PON without replacing its existing GPON infrastructure. This upgrade allows D & P Communications to scale its network capacity to meet rising demand for high-speed broadband in both urban and underserved rural areas, providing reliable multigigabit connectivity to more subscribers.

Adtran’s Combo PON technology supports both legacy GPON subscribers and new XGS-PON users, maximizing the use of existing infrastructure while delivering high-speed, reliable connections. As demand for data continues to surge, D & P Communications can expand its service coverage across Michigan without major infrastructure overhauls, offering faster broadband to a growing customer base.

With the ability to scale its fiber network efficiently, D & P Communications is prepared to meet the ongoing demand for faster internet services. This partnership with Adtran helps the company future-proof its network while minimizing disruption to subscribers. The expanded fiber network strengthens broadband availability in the region, offering a reliable upgrade path for multigigabit services as demand increases.
