Henderson Municipal Power & Light (HMP&L) accelerated its city-wide fiber rollout by deploying Adtran’s open, intelligent access platform to deliver multigigabit FTTH service across Henderson, Kentucky. The municipal utility, which also operates as a regional ISP, selected Adtran’s XGS-PON and Mosaic One software suite to scale its network efficiently while improving reliability and subscriber satisfaction.
The deployment integrates Mosaic One with the GLDS BroadHub platform to streamline service provisioning, billing and support. HMP&L is using Adtran’s AI-driven analytics to enhance network performance, reduce operational complexity and inform targeted service upgrades. The rollout includes SDX series OLTs, 630 Series ONTs, and 8600/8700 mesh Wi-Fi gateways, complemented by Adtran’s Intellifi connected-home platform for managed whole-home Wi-Fi.
By upgrading its broadband infrastructure, HMP&L aims to expand digital access, support local businesses and strengthen regional economic development. The utility said the combined fiber and software stack allows it to keep pace with rising traffic demands and deliver dependable high-capacity services for residents, remote workers and local enterprises.
