Quickline, a UK-based service provider, has deployed Adtran’s Mosaic CP and software-defined access hardware to bring full-fiber connectivity to rural areas in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. The rollout aims to close the digital divide in underserved communities, providing residents and local businesses with fast and reliable broadband. The new infrastructure will enable various services, such as remote work, online education, and telemedicine, while improving access to digital tools for rural populations.

Adtran’s flexible XGS-PON technology allows Quickline to quickly scale its network to meet growing demand in remote locations. The platform seamlessly integrates with Quickline’s existing fixed wireless access infrastructure, making it efficient and cost-effective to deliver gigabit speeds to rural homes and businesses. The solution is expected to enhance the quality of life in these areas, driving economic growth and increasing digital opportunities.

• Technology: Adtran’s XGS-PON with SDX 6320, 6330 Series OLTs, and SDX 631q ONTs

• Network: Full-fiber network expansion to underserved rural areas

• Services Enabled: Telemedicine, remote work, HD streaming, online education

• Target Area: Rural regions in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire

• Integration: Hybrid network blending fiber with existing fixed wireless access

“At Quickline, we’re committed to providing ultra-fast connectivity to those in rural areas who need it most. Adtran’s flexible fiber access technology enables us to give residents the connectivity they need to thrive in a rapidly digitizing world,” said Darryl Petch, CTO of Quickline.
