Alcatel Introduces New MultiService Cross-Connect

Alcatel introduced a new multiService cross-connect for the North American market and designed for the convergence of optical and data transport networks. The new Alcatel 1671 Service Connect (SC) supports wideband, broadband, and narrowband requirements, while also providing advanced data aggregation functionality. Te system features a fully redundant, physically diverse matrix and is optimized for high densities of optical interfaces, enabling grooming functionality to be pushed closer to the edge of the network.
