Vodafone Portugal has selected Amdocs’ Operations Support Systems (OSS) to streamline its network resource and capacity management. Amdocs OSS solutions will support Vodafone Portugal’s 2G and 3G networks and its new broadband DSL fixed line service, allowing the provider to manage network facilities more efficiently and cost-effectively. As a result, Vodafone Portugal will be able to reduce time to market for mobile applications that require bandwidth-on-demand, such as games, images, music and specialized content. Financial terms were not disclosed.
