CommScope agreed to sell its Connectivity and Cable Solutions (CCS) segment to Amphenol in a transaction valued at $10.5 billion. The deal, first announced on July 29, 2025, transfers a broad portfolio of fiber optic and copper cabling, connectors, and infrastructure systems that serve data centers, broadband networks, and enterprise environments. CCS generated $875 million in revenue during Q2 2025.
The acquisition strengthens Amphenol’s position in the fast-growing IT datacom sector, particularly in fiber optic interconnects for artificial intelligence and data center applications. CCS operates three business units: Data Center Connectivity Solutions, Broadband Communications, and Building Connectivity Solutions. Together, they expand Amphenol’s footprint across hyperscale data centers, telecom operators, and industrial markets. The acquisition is expected to be accretive to Amphenol’s diluted EPS in its first full year post-closing.
CommScope will use the divestiture to sharpen its focus on its ANS broadband access technologies and RUCKUS enterprise networking platforms. Amphenol will finance the purchase with cash and debt, with committed financing arranged by J.P. Morgan Securities, BNP Paribas, and Mizuho Bank. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary conditions.
