Amstrad PLC, a leading international manufacturer of digital STBs, selected Conexant Systems’ DVB-S2/MPEG-4 satellite set-top box silicon
for their new high-definition television (HDTV) satellite receiver. Amstrad is using six Conexant chips in the box.
Amstrad’s DRX700i STB is based exclusively on Conexant’s semiconductor solutions, and will be deployed by Italian satellite broadcast operator Sky Italia this summer.
