Astera Labs has expanded its Cloud-Scale Interop Lab to accelerate the adoption of PCIe 6.x AI platforms, enhancing interoperability testing for Scorpio Smart Fabric Switches. This expansion supports rigorous real-world system validation across a wide range of PCIe 6.x components, including GPUs, CPUs, NICs, SSDs, and switches. By addressing next-gen connectivity challenges such as higher bandwidth, mixed-generation complexity, and large-scale system integration, Astera Labs provides pre-validated, production-ready solutions that reduce development risks and accelerate time-to-market for cloud and AI infrastructure.
The Cloud-Scale Interop Lab ensures Scorpio P-Series Fabric Switches and Aries 6 PCIe/CXL Smart DSP Retimers meet the demands of hyperscale AI workloads, undergoing PCIe link, RAS, and system testing over complex topologies. Unlike one-dimensional interop programs, Astera Labs tests real-world applications with leading root complexes, endpoints, and operating systems to optimize reliability and performance. A recent end-to-end PCIe 6.x demonstration at DesignCon 2025 showcased Scorpio’s interoperability with Micron PCIe 6.x SSDs using GPU-Direct Storage, reinforcing Astera Labs’ leadership in high-speed interconnect solutions for AI-driven data centers.
