AT&T Warns Against "Reverse Policy Engineering'

Speaking at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C., AT&T chairman and CEO David Dorman, warned the nation’s telecom regulators against “continually rehashing issues previously legislated and litigated.” Dorman hopes federal and state policymakers will give up on “re-fighting the battles of the past” and reject calls for protection of monopolies. He pointed to AT&T’s $3 billion capital expenditures budget and ongoing investments to further enhance its communications network. He also discussed AT&T’s commitment to pressing the limits of new technologies, such as VoIP, WiFi and the use of the electric grid as alternatives to the Bells’ “last mile.”http://www.att.com
